Social media accounts<\/a>\u00a0posted\u00a0a video of the aftermath of a bombing, claiming it showed damage from shrapnel from a Yemeni missile that fell in Tel Aviv, \u201cA missile launched from Yemen was intercepted over Tel Aviv, but the shrapnel caused limited material damage. Kashif verified the video clip via Google Images search and found it to be old and incorrectly linked to the missile launched from Yemen. The video was originally posted on 6 April 2025, and shows the aftermath of a rocket fired from Gaza in Ashkelon.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Al Jazeera<\/a>\u00a0posted\u00a0the video on its X account on 6 April 2025, with the following description: \u201cLive footage of the aftermath of a Qassam Brigades rocket landing in Ashkelon.\u201d A number of news outlets also posted the video on the same date including\u00a0Shehab News Agency<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Al-Jarmaq News<\/a>, which clarified that the clip was from Ashkelon.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n

Al-Qassam Brigades,<\/a>\u00a0the military wing of Hamas, announced on 6 April 2025, that it had bombarded “the occupied city of Ashdod with a barrage of rockets in response to the Zionist massacres against civilians” in the Gaza Strip. Meanwhile,\u00a0the Israeli occupation army<\/a>\u00a0announced that it had detected approximately 10 rockets fired from the Gaza Strip and that five of them were intercepted. Channel 12 reported that seven people were injured and transferred to Barzilai Hospital in Ashkelon after a rocket fell there, stating that the rocket caused extensive damage to buildings and cars.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces,\u00a0Yahya Saree,<\/a>\u00a0announced on 6 July 2025, the implementation of a military operation targeting Lod Airport in the occupied Jaffa region, using a Palestine 2 hypersonic ballistic missile. Meanwhile,\u00a0the Israeli army<\/a>\u00a0announced in the early hours of 6 July that it had intercepted a missile launched from Yemen, and stated that \u201calerts were activated in accordance with established policy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
