Social media accounts<\/a> posted an interview with the Secretary-General of the Arab Islamic Council, Muhammad Ali al-Husseini, on Al Arabiya, claiming that he warned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu against waging another war with Iran. The interview was accompanied by the following caption: “Al-Husseini warns… warnings to the Israeli Prime Minister regarding another war with Iran.” <\/p>\n\n\n

Kashif verified the circulated interview via Google Lens search and found that it was manipulated and the claim misleading. In the original interview, Al-Husseini warns Houthi leader Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi against targeting the occupation, not Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his response to an Al Arabiya reporter’s question, Secretary-General of the Arab Islamic Council, Mohammed Ali Al-Husseini, addressed a message to Houthi leader Abdulmalik al-Houthi. The original clip from the edited video being circulated was part of this message.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The Israeli occupation<\/a>\u00a0launched an attack on Iran on 13 June 2025, attacking military and nuclear sites, civilian facilities, and the assassination of military leaders and nuclear scientists. This triggered a 12-day military escalation between the two sides, during which Tehran targeted Israeli military and intelligence sites with ballistic missiles and drones.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The Iranian judiciary<\/a>\u00a0announced that\u00a0the death toll from the military escalation with Israel had risen to 935, including 38 children and 132 women. The Iranian General Staff said that Israel “will face a crushing and devastating response if it launches a new aggression.” Meanwhile, Israel announced that 28 people were killed and 3,238 injured as a result of the Iranian response.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
