Kashif verified the account’s authenticity and found it to be impersonal. Kashif contacted the management of Al Jazeera Media Network in Qatar, which confirmed that the account was impersonal and is not affiliated with Al Jazeera Media Network. It also published a statement on its\u00a0X<\/a>\u00a0account, which read: “The International Communications Department of Al Jazeera Media Network confirms that there is no page in its name on the Telegram platform, and warns against interacting with suspicious messages calling for interaction and registration in a fake account in Al Jazeera’s name on Telegram. It urges users to always verify the source of these messages and follow Al Jazeera’s official accounts.”<\/p>\n\n\n
