Kashif verified the video via Google Images search and found that it was posted on 12 June 2025, claiming to be from the Tbilisi City Court in Georgia, not related to the military escalation between Israel and Iran.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Georgian Instagram account\u00a0Batumelebi<\/a>\u00a0posted the video on 12 June 2025, one day before the start of the military escalation between Israel and Iran, with the following description: \u201cSecurity personnel assaulted women in the lobby of the Tbilisi City Court,\u201d adding: \u201cToday the final session of the trial of prisoner of conscience, Mate Davidze, is being held.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n

“Publika<\/a>” Facebook account also posted the video\u00a0on the same date, 12 June 2025, with the following description: “Mate Davidze’s trial is taking place in the Tbilisi City Court. A clash broke out outside the courtroom where his friends and supporters were gathered. Security personnel forcibly removed a number of citizens who had come to support him from the corridor.”<\/p>\n\n\n

According to the\u00a0Civil Georgia<\/a>\u00a0website, the Tbilisi City Court in Georgia sentenced Mati Davidze, 21, to four years and six months in prison for assaulting police officers during the dispersal of a protest early in the morning of 19 November 2024. The protester had been demonstrating against the results of the\u00a0October\u00a0parliamentary elections and demanding new elections.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n
