\u201cGAZAWOOD \u2013 the PALLYWOOD saga<\/a>\u201d account recently posted a video of a child with a head injury, accompanied by the following text: \u201cChildren in Gaza are not just political tools, they must stop being exploited for propaganda purposes.\u201d The account attached, in addition to the child\u2019s video, another video of a content creator specializing in\u00a0cinematic makeup<\/a>, indicating that the child is acting and faking her injury.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n

Kashif verified the claim and found it to be misleading. The video is of child Sophia, who was injured by shrapnel as a result of the Israeli occupation bombing of her family\u2019s home in the Tabat al-Nuwairi area, west of the Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Journalist Salma Al-Qudomi<\/a>\u00a0posted\u00a0the video on her Instagram account on 17\/12\/2024, accompanied by the following text: \u201cWhat is her fault?\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n

Kashif’s team contacted the video journalist Salma Al-Qaddoumi, who confirmed that the girl\u2019s name is Sophia and that she’s an 8-year-old. She was injured as a result of the Israeli occupation\u2019s bombing of her family\u2019s home in the Al-Nuwairi Hill area, west of the Al-Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip. A number of her family members were also injured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Al-Qudumi added that the child was transferred to Al-Awda Hospital in Al-Nuseirat camp, which transferred her to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip, where she received treatment after being injured by shrapnel in her head, hand and foot. Qudumi explained that she conducted interviews with the child in the emergency department at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, and provided them to Kashif Monitor.<\/p>\n\n\n
