Kashif verified the photo via \u201cGoogle Images\u201d tool and found that it is old. The photo is from 2015 and shows Bashar al-Assad during his visit to the army forces in the Jobar neighborhood in Damascus.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On 1\/1\/2015, BBC <\/a>published\u00a0a report titled \u201cSyrian President Visits Jobar Neighborhood on the Outskirts of Damascus.\u201d The report included a group of photos, including the circulated photo. BBC stated that the photos were from Bashar al-Assad\u2019s visit to the Jobar neighborhood in Damascus and his meeting with the soldiers there.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n

On 1\/1\/2015, the \u201cSana in video<\/a>\u201d Facebook account published\u00a0a video clip showing Assad visiting Jobar, shaking hands with and talking to the military personnel, and eating with them. The video was accompanied by the following title: \u201cPresident Assad in Jobar with soldiers, non-commissioned officers, and officers of the Syrian Arab Army.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n

The opposition factions<\/a>\u00a0announced on Wednesday 27\/11\/2024 the start of a military operation called \u201cDeterrence of Aggression.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights<\/a> reported that the Syrian regime forces sent large reinforcements and repositioned themselves in strategic areas in the northern and western Hama countryside, in light of the decline in the intensity of the battles after the opposition factions took control of the cities of Morek, Kafr Zita, Al-Lataminah and Khan Sheikhoun in the Hama and Idlib countrysides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
