Social media accounts<\/a> recently published a video clip consisting of two scenes showing a group of people being targeted, claiming that they were soldiers in the occupation army who had fallen into an ambush by Hezbollah. The video was accompanied by the following text: \u201cTerrifying scenes for the Israeli entity. Watch how a number of the entity\u2019s soldiers were hunted down in southern Lebanon.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n

One source of the claim<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

Kashif verified the video via reverse image search on “Google Images” tool and found that it is old and incorrectly linked to the town of Khiyam in southern Lebanon. The clip was circulated in 2016, before the start of the Israeli army\u2019s ground operation in southern Lebanon in September 2024, and Hezbollah\u2019s announcement of opening a support front for Gaza on 8\/10\/2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On 11\/5\/2016, Orient News<\/a> channel published the video clip and explained that it was in Aleppo, and the clip included the slogan \u201cThe Conquest of Aleppo\u201d and the \u201cSlogan of the Mujahideen Army\u201d in Syria.<\/p>\n\n\n

On 22\/5\/2016, \u201cLunatik13<\/a>\u201d published\u00a0a cropped image of the first scene of the circulated video clip on the pikabu.ru platform, and published a GIF image of the second scene of the video. Kashif’s team also noticed that the scenes included the slogan \u201cLiberation of Aleppo.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Israeli army spokesman <\/a>announced on 30\/9\/2024 the start of a “targeted and specific” ground operation against Hezbollah targets in the area near the border in southern Lebanon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hezbollah<\/a>\u00a0announced on Monday, 25\/11\/2024, that it had targeted a gathering of Israeli army forces south of the city of Khiyam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
