Kashif verified the video and found that it is old.\u00a0The video<\/a>\u00a0was published by\u00a0a group of accounts<\/a>\u00a0on \u201cX\u201d in February 2023, and stated that it showed Israelis being beaten by a British young man in Thailand.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Activist\u00a0Daniel Amram<\/a>\u00a0– who identifies himself as an independent journalist – published a screenshot of the circulating video on 18\/3\/2023 and said that \u201cthe four Israelis who were beaten by a British tourist at a party in Thailand a few weeks ago are suing (almost) everyone who uploaded the video.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Amram added, “The lawsuit is for defamation in the amount of 200,000 shekels divided between the four children who have now revealed their names in the actual lawsuit for this lawsuit.”<\/p>\n\n\n

Kashif was unable to verify the context of the video clip. kashif’s Israeli-Hebrew affairs team searched the media and official Hebrew websites and did not find any mention of the circulated clip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, the video was published before the aggression on the Gaza Strip started on 7\/10\/2023, 2023, and before the Amsterdam clashes on 7\/11\/2024.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maccabi Tel Aviv fans<\/a>\u00a0tore up the Palestinian and Dutch flags and chanted anti-Arab and anti-Palestinian slogans in the Dutch capital Amsterdam, which led to clashes between young men and the club’s fans. The Dutch police announced the arrest of 62 people following the events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
