Accounts, including the account of the spokesperson of\u00a0the Israeli occupation army, Avichay Adraee,<\/a>\u00a0published two photos on \u201cX\u201d, the first is of the wife of the late head of the political bureau of Hamas, Yahya Sinwar, carrying a bag, claiming that the bag is a \u201cHermes Birkin\u201d, which costs $32,000. The second photo is of a \u201cHermes Birkin\u201d bag with its price.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The two photos were accompanied by the following text: \u201cDid Sinwar\u2019s wife enter the tunnel with him on October 6, carrying a Birkin bag that cost an estimated $32,000?!\u201d While the people of Gaza do not have enough money for a tent or basic supplies, we see many examples of Yahya Sinwar and his wife\u2019s special love for money.<\/p>\n\n\n

Kashif verified the claim and found it to be misleading, as the bag seen with Sinwar’s wife does not match the specifications of a\u00a0Hermes<\/a> Birkin <\/a>bag.<\/p>\n\n\n

The Hermes Birkin bag has a horizontal gold frame and a chain in the shape of a lock. The bag carried by Sinwar\u2019s wife has two gold chains (decorations) under the handle of the bag. The bag carried by Sinwar\u2019s wife also does not match the image of the \u201cHermes Birkin\u201d bag that was published by the accounts, including Adraee\u2019s account.<\/p>\n\n\n

The Israeli occupation army published a video clip on Saturday 19\/10\/2024<\/a>\u00a0, claiming that it was of the former head of the political bureau of Hamas, Yahya Sinwar, accompanied by his family inside the tunnel, noting that the video was taken on 6\/10\/2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hamas announced on 18\/10\/2024<\/a>\u00a0the killing of its political bureau chief Yahya Sinwar in a clash with the Israeli occupation army in Tel al-Sultan in the city of Rafah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
