One source of the claim<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

Kashif verified the image via \u201cGoogle Images\u201d tool and found that it is old and was incorrectly linked to Palestinian prisoners. The image dates back to 2020 and shows detainees in Al-Hasakah prison in Syria, not Palestinian prisoners in occupation prisons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On 25\/3\/2020, Asharq Al-Awsat website published the photo in a report titled \u201cHuman rights organizations warn of the \u2018catastrophe\u2019 of the arrival of \u2018Corona\u2019 to Syrian prisons,\u201d and the website described the photo as \u201ca cell crowded with prisoners in Hasakah, Syria (Reuters).\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n

Reuters<\/a> also published the same photo on 26\/6\/2020, indicating that it was from inside Al-Hasakah prison in Syria and taken by Goran Tomasevic. <\/p>\n\n\n

A video clip<\/a> was circulated on Monday 7\/10\/2024 documenting the Israeli occupation\u2019s abuse of some Palestinian prisoners under the pretext of \u201cwarnings of unrest inside the prisons.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Palestinian Prisoners Club<\/a> also stated in a statement dated 8\/10\/2024 that the Israeli occupation forces have arrested more than 11,200 citizens from the West Bank, including Jerusalem, since October 7. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
