Kashif verified the image via \u201cGoogle Images\u201d tool, and found that it is old and the claim is misleading. The image was taken by photographer Omar Sanadiqi for Reuters on 10.5.2018 and published on his Instagram account \u201comarsanadiki<\/a>\u201d with the following text: \u201cRocket launches appear from Damascus\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n

The Guardian<\/a> also published\u00a0the photo on its website in a report on 5 October 2018, titled: \u201cRockets were seen being launched from Damascus, after Israel responded to a missile attack on the Golan Heights with strikes inside Syria\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n

The Guardian<\/a>\u00a0reported\u00a0that the spokesman for the Israeli Defense Forces explained that \u201cits positions in the Golan Heights were subjected to a barrage of Iranian missiles, which prompted it to respond with intensive strikes targeting Tehran\u2019s forces throughout Syria\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
