Accounts<\/a>\u00a0on \u201cX\u201d published\u00a0a video clip of young men and women dancing inside a caf\u00e9 to the song \u201cMy Blood is Palestinian\u201d by the Palestinian artist Mohammed Assaf. The clip was accompanied by the following claim: \u201cA nightclub celebration in the West Bank – Palestine after the Jordanian youth\u2019s operation at the King Hussein Bridge\u201d.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n

Kashif verified the claim and found it to be misleading. The video was taken inside a caf\u00e9 in London called \u201cMaramia Cafe<\/a>“. Kashif compared the videos published by the cafe with the circulated video and found a match in location.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By examining the caf\u00e9\u2019s accounts on Instagram and TikTok, the Observatory team noticed that the caf\u00e9 publishes periodic videos<\/a> similar to the circulated video, and had published videos in which the song \u201c My Blood is Palestinian<\/a> \u201d was heard at different times. <\/p>\n\n\n
