Kashif verified the information and found it to be misleading. The Director of Public Relations and Media at the Palestinian Customs Police, Colonel Ibrahim Ayyash, told Kashif that \u201cthe Customs Police did not seize any aid truck heading to Jenin, but the incident related to seizing a vehicle in Tubas Governorate containing a small number of goods, consisting of energy drinks that did not carry tax papers, the quantities were not large\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ayash stressed that the customs police contribute to facilitating the movement of aid and organizing its work in cooperation with partner agencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Secretary of the Fatah Movement in the Jenin region, Mahmoud Hawashin, denied to Kashif the information and confirmed that no aid truck coming into Jenin were confiscated by the customs police. He stated that a rumor has been circulating about the seizure of an aid truck in Tubas coming into Jenin, but it was later revealed that the vehicle was not heading to Jenin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hawashin stated that a large number of aid arrived to Jenin camp from the countryside in the governorate and from the city of Nablus, in addition to aid coming from UNRWA to be distributed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
