Kashif verified the video through reverse search using the \u201cINVID\u201d tool and found that it is old and the claim to be misleading. The circulating clip is an excerpt from a video published by the \u201c\u00a0Al-Ikhbariya Channel\u201d<\/a>\u00a0account on \u201cX\u201d on 11 February 2023, captioned: \u201cScenes from Saudi relief aid for earthquake victims in Syria.\u201d The circulating clip is located between 0:37 – 0:48 seconds of the original video.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kashif’s team also found, through examining the video clip, that the trucks carried banners that read: \u201cPopular Campaign to Aid Earthquake Victims in Turkey and Syria,\u201d and others that read: \u201cPopular Campaign to Aid Earthquake Victims in Syria.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On 11 February 2023, the \u201c Syria TV<\/a>\u00a0\u201d channel published\u00a0a report on YouTube covering the moment the Saudi relief convoys arrived in Syria. The report explained that Saudi Arabia brought in the first relief convoys by land through the Al-Hamam village crossing in the Jandairis district of Afrin, carrying medical and shelter relief supplies provided by the King Salman Center for Relief in order to distribute them in the affected Syrian and Turkish regions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
