A design that mimics the design of the breaking news on the \u201cAl Jazeera \u2013 Palestine\u201d page has spread on Facebook<\/a> , and it includes the following text: \u201cHamas leader Osama Hamdan: We warn the Israeli occupation of using the secret Qassam weapon to force the occupation to stop the war of extermination.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n

Kashif verified the design and found that it was fake, and that the news it contained was plagiarism. Kashif\u2019s team went through media, including the pages of \u201c Al Jazeera – Palestine<\/a> \u201d, and the official website of the Hamas movement,<\/a> and did not find any mention of the statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kashif also contacted Mahmoud Mardawi, a member of the Hamas Political Bureau, who denied the statement, confirming that it was fabricated. Upon examining the circulated design attributed to \u201cAl Jazeera \u2013 Palestine\u201d, Kashif found that the type of font used is completely different from the type of font used by the \u201cAl Jazeera \u2013 Palestine\u201d page, in addition to spelling errors.<\/p>\n\n\n

Kashif\u2019s team found \u201c Al Jazeera – Palestine<\/a> \u201d poster design that is completely identical to the circulating one, but with a difference caption published on 3 February 2024, captioned: \u201cHamas leader Osama Hamdan: We call on all the forces of the nation to participate in the decisive battle in support of Al-Aqsa and protection of the holy sites.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The \u201c Tabian-Hamas<\/a> \u201d channel, which was launched by the movement\u2019s official website, denied the statement attributed to Hamas leader Hamdan, confirming that it was forged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
