Accounts on X published a video clip showing scenes of clashes with the occupation army, claiming that the video is recent and during 2025, and shows an operation carried out by Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood in the Gaza Strip. The video was accompanied by the following text: “The operation of #Al-Qassam Mujahideen men surrounding the enemy forces in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood.”
Kashif verified the video via Google Image search, Kashif’s team found that the video is old and incorrectly linked to a video published by Al-Qassam Brigades showing footage of vehicles targeting invading the Tuffah neighborhood, east of Gaza City, in 2024.
The video was published by Al-Qassam Brigades on its official Telegram channel on 18/1/2024, with the following description: “#Watch… Scenes of the engagement of Al-Qassam fighters with enemy soldiers and vehicles east of the Al-Tuffah and Al-Daraj neighborhoods in Gaza City #Al-Aqsa_Flood.”
Al-Qassam Brigades published footage on 20/4/2025, which it claimed documented the targeting of Israeli occupation vehicles in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood, east of Gaza City.
On 19/4/2025, the Israeli occupation army announced the death of one soldier and the injury of three others in the Gaza Strip, bringing the number of Israeli army casualties since October 7 to 847, including 408 since the start of the ground operation in the Gaza Strip.
