Amin Bani Odeh not deported to Gaza Strip, he is in Beersheba prison 

Information circulated on social media, stating: “In a dangerous precedent… the Israeli occupation forces deported young man, Amin Tayseer Abdullah Bani Odeh, 42 years old, from the town of Tamoun to the Gaza Strip after taking him from the occupied territories, under the pretext that he did not have a permit.” 

Kashif verified the information and found it to be misleading, It contacted Kamal Bani Odeh, director of the Prisoners Club in Tubas, who confirmed that the prisoners’ lawyers reported that Amin Bani Odeh is being investigated in Beersheba prison for not having a permit and has not been transferred to the Gaza Strip. 

Kashif has tracked the spread of this misleading information and found that an inaccurate list of the names of 10 prisoners from the Gaza Strip released by Israel on 21/4/2025, is being circulated, as follows: 

1. Mazen Ramadan Shaaban Al-Kilani (Beit Lahia)
2. Khaled Hussein Yousef Surur (Beit Lahia)
3.  Ahmed Magdy Ahmed Qashqash (Beit Lahia)
4. Osama Salah El-Din Hassan Ayoub (Beit Lahia)
5. Hani Jamal Ahmed Sobh (Beit Lahia)
6. Mohammed Wael Mohammed Al-Ballah (Beit Lahia)
7. Bilal Shahada Matar Al-Shishi (Beit Lahia)
8. Momin Ali Ashour Musleh (Tulkarem)
9. Security Tayseer Bani Odeh (Jenin)
10. Imran Mohammed Hamdan

Kashif’s team found the official list issued by the Prisoners’ Information Office, which is as follows: 

1. Mazen Ramadan Shaaban Al-Kilani (Beit Lahia)
2. Khaled Hussein Yousef Surur (Beit Lahia)
3. Ahmed Magdy Ahmed Qashqash (Beit Lahia)
4. Osama Salah El-Din Hassan Ayoub (Beit Lahia)
5. Hani Jamal Ahmed Sobh (Beit Lahia)
6. Mohammed Wael Mohammed Al-Ballah (Beit Lahia) 
7. Bilal Shahada Matar Al-Shishi (Beit Lahia)
8. Sabry Ali Ashour Salama (Beit Lahia)
9. Rami Rafiq Haboub (Beit Lahia)
10. Ahmed Mahmoud Abu Hour (Al-Zawaida)

Comparing the two lists revealed that the last three names on the official list, namely: Sabri Ali Ashour Salama (Beit Lahia), Rami Rafiq Haboub (Beit Lahia), and Ahmed Mahmoud Abu Hour (Az-Zawayda), were replaced with other names, namely: Moamen Ali Ashour Musleh (Tulkarm), Aman Tayseer Bani Odeh (Jenin), and Imran Muhammad Hamdan.

Kashif also contacted journalist Salma Al-Qaddoumi, who is currently at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah. She said that she conducted interviews with the released prisoners who arrived at the hospital yesterday, Monday, 21/4/2025.

Al-Qudomi confirmed that the prisoners who arrived at the hospital were those whose names appeared on the official list, which did not include Moamen Ali Ashour Musleh, Aman Tayseer Bani Odeh, and Imran Muhammad Hamdan, but rather included Sabry Ali Ashour Salama from Beit Lahia, Rami Rafiq Haboub, also from Beit Lahia, and Ahmed Mahmoud Abu Hour from Az-Zawayda.

Al-Qudomi reported that all the prisoners who arrived at the hospital were from the Gaza Strip, not the West Bank.

Kashif’s team contacted Amani Sarahneh, the media officer at the Prisoners’ Club, who confirmed that no cases of workers being deported from the West Bank to the Gaza Strip had been recorded.
