Social media accounts have posted a video of hanging bags, one of which is moving, claiming it shows real people being tortured by Israeli occupation forces. The video was accompanied by the following claim: “Israeli forces brutally torture Palestinians by hanging them upside down by their feet, slowly sucking the life out of their bodies. It is a calculated crime aimed at dehumanizing and completely destroying them.”

The same video was also circulated as being from inside Turkish prisons, accompanied by the following claim: “How did the Israeli Mossad obtain this scene inside Erdogan’s prison? The worst types of torture inside Turkish prisons. Israeli channels and some Israeli pages published this leaked clip from inside Turkish prisons.”

Kashif verified the video via Invid tool and found that the claim linking the video to the circulating video is misleading. What appears in the video is an animated Halloween decoration.
The video was posted on YouTube by MEAHANIZMUS channel, which is owned by a company specializing in the production and installation of entertainment equipment, on 19/1/2025, with the following description: “Halloween animated decorations: ‘Put the bodies in the bags.’” The channel indicated that the video was filmed at “ La Maison Hantée Marseille,” an interactive haunted house in Marseille, France.

The channel also posted another video of the set from different angles, dated 17/3/2025, with the following description: “Moving Body Bags – Morgue Horror, Haunted House – Marseille.”

In addition to the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip since 7/10/2023, the Israeli occupation army is committing systematic and daily violations against Palestinians in the West Bank, such as setting up checkpoints between cities, villages, and towns in the West Bank, demolishing homes, displacing citizens, and conducting widespread arrest campaigns. Cases of torture practiced by the Israeli occupation authorities against Palestinians in both the West Bank and the Gaza Strip have been documented.
In August 2024, UN experts said they had received documented reports of widespread abuse, torture, sexual assault, and rape against Palestinian prisoners “under horrendously inhumane conditions.” The experts stated that Israel’s “widespread and systematic” violations against Palestinians in detention constitute a “preventable crime against humanity.”
