Accounts on “X” recently published a video clip showing an explosion hitting group of soldiers, claiming that they were Israeli occupation army who had fallen into an ambush by Hezbollah, “These are the Radwan forces. Terrifying scenes from southern Lebanon, Al-Khiyam, while crushing the Israeli occupation soldiers and scattering them like ashes.”
Kashif verified the video via “Google Images” tool and found that it is old and incorrectly linked to the town of Khiyam in southern Lebanon. The clip was circulated in April 2024 of Russian soldiers trying to remove a mine.
While the spokesman for the Israeli occupation army announced on 30/9/2024 the start of a targeted and specific ground operation against Hezbollah targets in the area near the border in southern Lebanon, that is, after the video was circulated in April 2024.
On 26/4/2024, the Daily Star website published a report entitled: “Russian soldiers who tried to destroy a mine flew away when they accidentally detonated it.” The report included a number of photos taken from the circulated video clip, and indicated that the photos were from X account, bayraktar_1love.
Special Kherson Cat account on “X” also published the video on 25/4/2024 and stated that the clip shows Russian soldiers trying to remove an anti-tank mine but accidentally detonating it.
On 25/4/2024, WarNewsPL and Clash Report accounts on “X” published the video clip and stated that the clip was of Russian soldiers trying to remove mines.
A report published by reviewnewsnet on 25/4/2024 stated that the circulated clip included the following: “Three Russian soldiers were near the tank, then two of them ran towards an unknown object on the ground and after trying to pick it up, a powerful explosion occurred and as a result, both of them were killed.”
