Social media accounts have recently posted a photo showing a huge explosion, claiming that it was in the Yemeni capital, Sanaa.
Kashif verified the image via “Google Images” tool, and found that it was taken from an old video clip and was incorrectly linked to the raids launched on the Yemeni capital, Sanaa. The video was circulated in October 2024 and documents raids launched by the Israeli occupation army on the southern suburbs of Beirut.
The image was taken from a video clip published by “skynewsarabia” on 1/10/2024 with the following headline: “Violent Israeli raids on the southern suburbs of Beirut.” Upon examining the video clip, it was found that the circulated image occurred at the 16th second.
Channel 14 also published the video on 1/10/2024, with the following caption: “A row of buildings was bombed in the latest attack in the suburb.” The circulated footage appears at 24 seconds.
Al-Masirah TV, affiliated with the Houthis, reported that three American and British raids targeted the Al-Nahdain and Al-Hafaa areas in the Al-Sabaeen district, south of the Yemeni capital, Sana’a, on Saturday, 9/11/2024.
