Accounts on “X” published a picture of a huge explosion, claiming that it was in the Golani camp of the Israeli occupation army after it was targeted by Hezbollah, where the picture was accompanied by the following claim: “This is the Golani Brigade base that was bombed by Hezbollah. We are at your service, Nasrallah.”
Kashif verified the image via “Google Images” and found that it is old and was incorrectly linked to the Golani camp that was targeted on Sunday, 13/10/2024, by Hezbollah. The image shows the aftermath of an Israeli army raid that targeted the southern suburbs of Beirut on 6/10/2024.
Reuters published the photo on 7/10/2024 in a report with the following title: “Israel strikes Lebanon, Gaza ahead of first anniversary of 7 October attacks.” The photo was accompanied by the following caption: “Smoke and fire rise in Beirut’s southern suburbs after Israeli air strikes, amid ongoing hostilities between Hezbollah and Israeli forces, as seen from Sin el-Fil, Lebanon. Al Jazeera Net also published the photo on 7/10/2024, with the following caption: “Israeli bombing of the southern suburbs of Beirut on 6 October 2024 (Reuters).”

The Israeli occupation army announced in a statement that four soldiers were killed and 67 others were injured as a result of a drone attack on Binyamina, south of Haifa.
