Social media accounts posted a photo of two young children appearing as skeletons, claiming that the image shows two children found two months later under the rubble of their home in the Gaza Strip. The caption for the photo reads, “Two children found two months later under the rubble of their home.” Share, don’t just remain silent.
Kashif verified the image via Google Images search and found it to be old and the claim misleading. The image depicts two Spanish mummified children inside a museum in Bolivia, not two children found under rubble in the Gaza Strip.
The photo was posted on Fliker by an account named Tanya Knigh on 25/12/2006, and was explained as showing two mummified Spanish children from the 19th century at the Mint Museum in Potosi, Bolivia.
He accompanied the photo with the following description: “What you find in museums is always surprising. At the Mint Museum in Potosi, Bolivia, I found two mummified Spanish children from the 19th century. Horrific stuff.
