Accounts on “X” recently published a video clip showing a massive fire, with the claim: “Southern Lebanon is burning”.
Kashif verified the video via the “INVID” tool, and found that it was of a fire in a landfill in Burj Hammoud, Beirut. On 12 September 2024, Al-Arabiya published a report on Facebook that included footage of the same event from different angles, with the following text: “Fears of its spread and calls to evacuate residents, a fire broke out in a landfill in the Burj Hammoud area of the Lebanese capital, Beirut, amid attempts by the Civil Defense team to extinguish it”.
“Al-Siyasa” X account also published the video on 12 September 2024, captioned: “A video showing the extent of the disaster. This is what the fire scene looks like in the Burj Hammoud landfill”.
It is noteworthy that a huge fire broke out in the garbage mountain in Burj Hammoud in the city of Tripoli in Lebanon on 9/12/2024.
It is worth noting that ICOM wireless devices exploded on Wednesday 9/18/2024, killing their owners and in homes in various areas of southern Lebanon and the southern suburbs of Lebanon.
